Recorded: April 5, 2024 SHRM Credits: 1.5 Course Description: This session will cover employers’ obligations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), including an in-depth review of when ADA is legally triggered, compliance requirements regarding the interactive process, communications with medical providers, medical paperwork that is allowed versus disallowed, and a review of the legal mandated accommodation process. Special challenges such as assessing undue hardship, proposing alternative accommodations, and obligations regarding non-FMLA leaves, remote work, and transfer to another position will also be addressed. Attendees will be provided materials and a step-by-step guide. NOTICE: Once the course has started the attendee will have 24 Hours to complete the course. After 24 hours the Attendee will no longer have access to the recording or the materials.
